What is an aircon chemical overhaul?
A chemical overhaul is the most intensive cleaning we offer. Unlike a regular service, the unit is fully dismantled so every component is cleaned and inspected on its own. It restores cooling efficiency, clears mould and blockages, and extends the life of a neglected unit.

It’s our deepest clean. The unit is fully dismantled so each part — coils, blower, drainage — is cleaned and inspected individually, then reassembled and tested. It’s meant for units that are clogged, underperforming, or long overdue.
How is it different from regular servicing?
A regular service is a surface clean done with the unit largely intact. An overhaul dismantles the unit for a far deeper clean, which is why it takes longer and costs more. You don’t need one every visit — only when the unit is genuinely struggling.
How often do I need a chemical overhaul?
Every few years for most homes, or sooner if you notice weak cooling, mould, leaking, or rising bills. Keeping up with regular servicing stretches the gap between overhauls.
Overhaul or steamwash — which should I choose?
If your unit is reasonably maintained, we’d point you to steamwashing first — it’s chemical-free, gentler on the unit, and usually cheaper. A chemical overhaul is the right call when a unit is heavily clogged, neglected, or no longer cooling properly.
How long does it take?
Several hours, depending on the number of units and how dirty they are. Because the unit is fully dismantled, it’s a longer job than a standard service.
Will it damage my unit?
Done properly by skilled technicians, no. But chemicals are harsh by nature, so repeated overhauls aren’t ideal — that’s exactly why we recommend steamwashing for routine upkeep and reserve overhauls for when they’re truly needed.
